PC zamrzne po uspání (Standby)

Reinkarnuju jeden postarší počítač s deskou ASUS A7V600, svého času dělo, a při ladění ještě napůl složený po uspání zamrznul. Zapátral jsem tedy po síti a našel - a ověřil - zajímavou informaci:

My Asus Freezes When it Goes to Standby | eHow.com: "These errors appear when the operating system is installed to a hard drive that is connected to the channel as a slave, but no master device is attached to that same channel. Re-configuring the PATA device as a master drive should resolve the issue."

No ano! Disk jako slave! A samotný! Opravdu stačilo přehodit disk na master a vše šlape - tedy spí - jak má :-)
